Helping doesn't have to happen on Christmas Day! You can help today!

As little as one person can make this event life changing or up to an entire church, group or organization! Feeding people on Christmas Day can be a stressful time or you can help make it a joyous time.  As days go on I will be updating options to help!

Christmas dinner in Rock Hill- what can you do to help?

Christmas in Rock Hill is a blog that will be dedicated to making Christmas 2011 one of the best ever!  You see Christmas in Rock Hill is a tradition that I have been participating in since I was 15 years old and I have passed on to my husband and we have passed it on to our boys.  What is Christmas in Rock Hill?  Well most people just call it Christmas dinner at Bannon Hall or St. Mary's Church or Soup Kitchen.. where last year over 700 meals were prepared and delivered to the sick, shut in, less fortunate and some people who just don't have family to eat dinner with and some who don't have money to eat dinner.  That number doesn't include the ones that actually come into the Church for dinner on that day...just to be around other people-This project has touched my life for years and mostly because it crosees all socio-economic boundaries, denominations, ethnicities and anything else that you can think of that separates many of us from everyone else.  Over the upcoming days I will be sharing opportunities for you as an individual can help or your group....one thing is it happens on Christmas Day, but that doesn't mean you have to work on that day (we do), but we will need many things up to the day of the Dinner.  Go ahead and follow the blog here or like us on Facebook (love technology)...this will be the first year that we connect this effort with the community via social media...so let's do it BIG for the community.  I always say this- "you never know, it could be you or your family on the other side of the soup line!"
